Roof Repair Smedway handles Roof Replacement projects across Durham from full tear-off through final inspection, with a written scope you approve before anything is torn down.
We also coordinate Roof Replacement timing around Durham weather patterns, scheduling tear-off days when the forecast gives us the best chance of staying dry.
Every Roof Replacement includes a pre-project walkthrough so there are no surprises once tear-off actually begins.
Documentation provided before the first tear-off day, not after you ask.
Materials staged and crews scheduled to minimize how long your Durham property sits exposed.
Material and labor costs are broken out separately in every Roof Replacement estimate.
We explain the tradeoffs of each material option in terms that actually matter to you.
A complete Roof Replacement covers more than swapping shingles — here's what's actually included.
Old roofing is stripped down to the decking, with any rotted or damaged boards replaced before rebuilding.
A proper underlayment system is the difference between a roof that sheds water and one that traps it.
Architectural shingles are installed to manufacturer nail patterns and exposure specs, not a rushed approximation.
Metal replacement costs more upfront but often outlasts asphalt by decades in the right climate.
Poor attic ventilation shortens the life of a new roof, so we assess and upgrade it as part of most Roof Replacement jobs.
We protect landscaping and driveways during tear-off and do a full magnetic nail sweep before leaving.
We start with a conversation about your roof's age, material preferences, and timeline.
On-site assessment covers decking condition, ventilation, and material recommendations specific to your property.
You get a full written estimate covering materials, labor, and disposal before any tear-off is scheduled.
A final walkthrough confirms the finished roof matches the agreed scope before we consider the job done.
Full tear-off and reroof, three days start to finish, and the yard was spotless after.
